Enjoy the High
Salz Trans-Continental Restaurant Opens
When life gives you space, dance. When the space is Salz, 'enjoy the high at 80 feet'.
You'd agree with Jas Charanjiva, the artist who painted this line there: Salz is a space, not a place.
With its two floors (one being terrace) that get you a lake-view on one side, the KBR Park on the other, and a lighted skyline in the evening, and more wall-art.
We popped their Crisp Polenta Squares (with spicy tomato jam) and they melted before we could go through all the walls. So we gobbled up the Chicken Liver Pate (with balsamic jelly) with crispy green apples, and Bitter Greens in warm goat cheese also.
It was all so good, that we didn't spare Spanakopita (spinach & phyllo bake) and the Squid Ink Linguini either.
And then we drank to 'food is life' with glasses of blush wine, Chenin Blanc and Peach Sangria. The hospitality specialist told us he sold thousands of his Watermelon Story (mint, lemon, watermelon) off a shack and served it to us. We were sold, too.
In the end, the temptation of Pannacotta (with wild berries) was too much. But we downed it anyway.
Because "food is life, the rest is parsley"!
Salz launched Sunday evening on Road No.92, Jubilee Hills.
