Try if you lack some hair

By Johns May 08, 2012
We had a horrible experience at khaan saab at GVK 1. We found hair in our food 3 times and they were treating us with 'hair chicken curry is our special item, we'll charge 10% extra for that' attitute. After our repeated complaints, they offered free desserts and 10% discount on the bill. Then they came up with the bill and there was no discount. We again had to raise our voice, and they said they had a policy of not giving any discount! Really horrible place. Never even think of trying it, unless u feel that you lack some hair

A must place...once in a while

By April 25, 2011
Last Friday, six of us went to Khan Saheb for a dinner. We had no idea about the food, ambienece, service etc., hence we were a bit clueless. Our confusion increased when we got lost while trying to locate it at 4th and 5th floor of the Inox mall. Nobody gave us clear direction.

Somehow, we managed to reach there. Luckily, we had a confirmed booking. There wer at least 20-30 people who were walk-ins and were waiting.

The ambience was splending. I felt like we were on a ship with a starecase leading to the upper floor/deck which was meant for private/special patrons.

Now with such opulent and captivating ambience, the prices had to be a notch higher. To our surprise, they were not. In fact, they were almost at par and even lower than some of those templated restaurant which hardly serve anything better than street food.

We ordered appetizers including fish kabab, chicken tikka, and panner tikks. All of them were succulent, irrestible, and mouth-watering. The main course items were again evenly spread and had a distinct flavor.

The soup was ordinary though and we didn't like it very much. Biryani and Chicken Peshawari were really good. We dined with complete satisfaction knowing that it was a value-for-money experience. The service was good with timely order and delivery.

Overall a worthwhile experience and I plan to visit again sometime next month.

royal treatment

By Amruta December 16, 2010
Whether it’s that gigantic life-size elephant that welcomes you at the entrance or the regal murals that adorn the walls , khan Saab treats you like “ the royal guest” indeed. One look at this place and I was sure of two things:
a) I was going to eat some really yum food that night
b) I was going to go bankrupt.
However the rates were surprising. The pricing is moderate and the awesome food is worth every buck :)
